Our translation service VORTEXT for the languages English and German was established in 1998 and we have been successfully extending our capacities ever since. The foundations for the services that we offer: Translations, Editorial Work, Proofreading can be found in the bilingual background and education on all levels that we both share as well as in our international upbringing.

Our capacities and competencies are supplemented by qualified partner translators.

Katrin Traphagen is a fully qualified lawyer and an attorney-at-law in her first native language German. Her second native language is English. She is a Sworn Translator for German and English at the High Court of South Africa and is responsible for all texts in the language combination English-German.

Vanessa Vollmann is a scholar of political science and literature. Her first native language is English and her second native language is German. Her qualification as a Translator and Interpreter for English and German (Chamber of Industry and Commerce Wiesbaden) makes her accountable for all services provided in the language combination German-English.

Our working ethic is focussed on the precise revision of texts in that we also give special consideration to the respective cultural and language background of every text as well as the individual requests of the customer. We work strictly according to the native speaker principle, which means that the native speaker of the target language is accountable for the job – the same applies to external translations which are always thoroughly proofread and corrected.
